In 2015, the heads of state, government and senior representatives met at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to announce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that make up the 2030 Agenda—a series of goals that must be fulfilled by that year, which seek a better planet in every sense.
The business sector and society have paid special attention to these objectives, which ensure in a balanced and integrated manner sustainable development in its three dimensions: economic, social and environmental.

Since 2016, this event has been held in different regions of the world such as Dubai, India, Argentina, and this year it will be held in Canada, Lebanon, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and for the first time in Mexico.

The United Nations Global Compact is an organization that was created in 2005, with the purpose of calling on companies to align strategies and operations with the universal principles of said organizations: human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption; always with the objective of achieving the SDGs.
Currently 66 million people work in a company that adheres to the United Nations Global Compact. Mexico has allied companies that take their actions and social responsibility further: CEMEX, Aeromexico, Bio Pappel, Citibanamex, PETSTAR, Grupo Xcaret, Asur, KPMG, among others.
These organizations have fundamental actions for decision-making of the United Nations Global Compact in Mexico, they even serve as an example so that more companies that operate in our country join the organization.
